LEARNING BY TRAVELLING: 2019 EDITION OF THE 3-DAY EDUCATIONAL TOUR FOR STUDENTS OF THE MASTER’S DEGREE IN AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES

The 2019 edition of the 3-days educational visit for the students of the master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences was attended by 42 students and 5 teachers (Proff. Crovetto, Calcante, Oberti, Masseroni and Sandrucci).

The tour included stops in the provinces of Reggio Emilia, Ferrara, Mantua, Parma, Verona, Bergamo. Livestock, fruit and wine farms, a dairy and a Consortium of water management were visited and a variety of topics were touched from precision agriculture, to the environmental sustainability of productions, to the transformations due to global warming, the regulatory framework and the economic context.

Educational visits are an essential way for learning by seeing new technologies in action and by listening operators and technicians  who are directly involved in the production processes and in the management of activities and territories
