A STRATEGY TO MODEL DISTRIBUTION AND FATE OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONTAMINANTS IN THE ENVIRONMENT

Simulation models are extremely useful to set up adequate management strategies of pesticides and other contaminants, and to monitor their distribution in different environmental compartments.

In this seminar a five-stage strategy to model distribution and fate of environmental contaminants will be presented, using a modelling approach. At the end, practical examples will be presented, also comparing predicted environmental concentrations and toxicities for various living organisms.
