WORKSHOP ABOUT THE CLIMATE CHANGE MANAGEMENT IN AGRICULTURE – ADAPTNET PROJECT

The aim of AdaptNET is to strengthen education, research and innovation capacities for researchers and professionals operating in the area of Climate change management and Climate smart crop development. This is achieved by promoting information exchange from higher education institutions in EU (4 Institutions, in Italy and Greece), and building capacities in Institutions (4 Institutions, in different Provinces) in India. The result is the tuning of existing MSc and PhD programs, the development of new MSc programs, and the implementation of blended learning approaches.

A part of the project involves a 4 weeks training program for 30 Indian scientists, coming from 4 Higher Education Indian institutions. During the first week, a workshop is held in Milan. The arguments will range from agronomical approaches to reduces greenhouse gas emissions to international laws and agreements on the Climate Change subject and to trans-generational involvement in tackling climate change impact reduction.

The speakers were from 3 Italian Universities (University of Milan, Sant’Anna School of Advanced Study, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice).
