A LABORATORY OF SUSTAINABLE AND MULTIFUNCTIONAL AGRICULTURE IN VALSAVIORE
Saviore valley is a side valley to Camonica valley, a main access to Adamello Regional Park. It is a valley rich on nature, history and culture and it is undergoing depopulation process, as many alpine valleys.
UNIMONT’s objective in the project is to valorise territory strategic assets as high biodiversity rate, historical and cultural points of interest, elevated food products quality and high number of farms conducted from young people – with specific focus also on officinal herbs – to increase and integrate these activities in a process to enhance the Vally, also under a touristic point of view leverage on multifunctional aspects of mountain farms and sustainability. In this small reality it is fundamental the active citizen participation as promotor of an aware development carful to environmental issues.
