ALSO IN GEORGIA, CRADLE OF ORIGIN OF WINE, CLIMATE CHANGE OPENS NEW PROJECTS FOR VINE-OENOLOGY

As is known, Georgia, in the Southern Caucasus, is the region of origin of viticulture and enology. Over the course of the 8000 years of its long viticultural history, the cultivation techniques, the variety of grapes and the cultivation area have been adapted by local winemakers to climate modifications. In this agrometeorological study, developed in collaboration between the DiSAA and the National Wine Agency of Georgia, the country’s resources and climate liitations were outlined in the new climate phase underway.

Georgia confirms itself as a land of great wine-making vocation, whose wines we hope to receive more easily in Western Europe to brighten our dinnertimes.
